When I first met Elaine Read-Cole at her Favorite Things Studio nearly 5 years ago, I felt an instant connection with her. She was (and is) so warm, welcoming and peaceful that I knew I was “home”. I began my relationship with Elaine through her yoga classes. Throughout the next two years, Elaine guided me through the death of my mother, my husband’s serious illness and the every-day challenges of raising two daughters. Upon my turning 40, Elaine encouraged (and mentored) me to become a yoga instructor and Reiki Master. Elaine offered her amazing talents of Angelic/Shamanic guidance to me. She lovingly, spiritually, and compassionately assisted with healing: a trauma I suffered when I was 14, my fear of abandonment, and my connection to God. How can I describe Elaine in a few short sentences. That would be like summing up The meaning of life over a cup of coffee! Elaine is an amazing healer. I have had Reiki sessions with her and then was inspired to get my Reiki certification with her.        The shamanic-angelic healing session that I had with Elaine Read-Cole was a life-changing experience. I felt how my entire being was purified and energized with the help of the angels and spirit guides that were present during the session. I felt the whole room filled with so much compassion, love and support. I was kindly guided through parts of my life (childhood and adolescence) that were filled with so much pain. By going back to those painful moments, I was able to release an unbearable weight of sorrow that was interfering with my present life and my ability to become the best I can be. I also was able to get back two parts of my soul that left me as a preservation mechanism when I went through very emotionally charged situations when I was younger (soul retrieval). Elaine provided very detailed information about my past, relationship with my husband, and relatives that live overseas. This information was very important to me in order to put all the pieces of the puzzle together. There is no way she could have known so many details about my life (and my relatives living in another country) without me telling her in advance. I immediately realized that the only way for her to have access to that information is that it was actually communicated to her by angels and spirit guides. I think that this kind of healing therapy is so powerful that just one session can be considered the equivalent to "ten or more" talking psychotherapies with a mental health practitioner! I feel like something has definitely changed within me since I had a shamanic-angelic session with Elaine almost a week ago.        I first met Elaine when I went to see her for a Reiki session. Someone recommended Reiki to me for a physical problem but I was unable to locate contact information for the recommended practioner. I came across Elaine’s web site for Favorite Things and for some reason I kept coming back to it as a surfed the web. When I saw Elaine for the Reiki session she said that it wasn't a coincidence that I found her. She said that her Reiki sessions worked on the spiritual level as well as the physical level. Elaine told me that she usually doesn't talk during Reiki sessions unless the angels prompt her to say something. I have several advanced degrees in science and I was a bit skeptical of all of this at first. However, I tend to think of myself as an open minded person so I went along with this to see what would happen. Apparently the angels were very talkative that day. Elaine told me multiple things that she couldn't have possibly known. The information she gave me during that session left me without a doubt that there is a source greater than us and that there is a divine orchestration to the events in our lives. All we have to do is be open to it. At the end of the Reiki session Elaine mentioned how parts of our soul may leave our body as a form of self preservation to protect our true essence when trauma occurs. I had been feeling like I wasn’t quite myself. Actually, I felt like I hadn’t been my true self since about the age of 4 or 5. The age that you still believe that anything is possible and that the world is a wonderful and magical place. The true me believed that I could do anything. I was spunky, outgoing, and fearless. Then life came along with various forms of emotional trauma and left me wondering where did the “true me” go? Several weeks after the Reiki session, I scheduled a Shamanic Healing session. During the session she retrieved the piece of my soul that had left in order to preserve the true essence of who I am. During this session once again Elaine gave me information that she couldn’t have possibly known. I didn’t notice a dramatic change right away but gradually over time I felt like I was becoming the “true me.” Before the Shamanic Healing I had a strong fear of rejection, but now I am finally content with who I am. I feel like I have come home. I am about to embark on a new journey to fulfill a life long dream.        I came to Elaine for a reading for my niece and by some scheduling problem she canceled last minute and I took the reading instead. Am I ever thankful I did. Although I have had readings done before with other people, it, by far surpassed anything I had previously experienced. Both my father (who passed when I was 7) and my mother (who has been gone 20 years) came through with such information that I never knew and I confirmed it with my oldest brother.        I've been experiencing financial hardships, along with a new focus of wondering "why me" during this year, things seemed so overwhelming for me. A lot has happened in my life, but I never wondered why me nor did I focus my energy on the negativity of it all so much as I had been doing the first half of this year. I used to look at each hardship as a blessing and knew I'd get through it and learn from it. However, after a real close examination of my life and why I do things and why things happen and or why I say things the way I do, I reached out to my friend, because I couldn't feel the joy in my life anymore, I felt mentally, emotionally and physically dead and getting through each day was a struggle and I felt like I was in a rut and circling Logan Airport.
